WOMEN – WOunded by MEN
The title may be more sensational, which would have encouraged you to open this article.
In reality, at least
once in a woman’s life, she would be wounded by a man mentally or physically.
Well, I respect all Men who take care of Women properly with the whole
conscience. To all men, think patiently. I am sure that you will realize, that
you would have hurt a woman at least unknowingly.
We are living in the era
where uttering of sexual abusive words is a common trend, sexual exploitation
is only a piece of news that pops out here and there in social media, sexual
discrimination is spoken by feminist and films only for popularity, sexual
abuse case never ends even after the death anniversaries of
victims.
Feminism is the struggle for upbringing the equality between the sexes, itself shows the existence of inequality. I do not agree that the discrimination between the male and female is set up by humans. Nature has firmly placed its hand over the male and female with different chromosomes. Physically and characteristically both are completely different from each other. So the argument of equality or inequality makes no sense. The creation of a balanced ecosystem was the only responsibility of nature and it never minded about the problems that were going to exist between the same species. Here rises a question,
Are we not responsible
for discrimination?
Yes, but we are
responsible for not respecting and acknowledging the differences in the XX and
XY chromosomes. We are exploiting the vulnerability of gender. Overlooking the
potential and transferring the irrational thoughts about the females are the major
reason for this discrimination. Roots of this discrimination are like the roots
of the Banyan tree, in which branches turn into roots.
Where are these roots?
Generally, a fetus is more influenced by the mother’s
thoughts, emotions, and love. However, it gets most of its characteristics
from the people, around the mother during pregnancy. Here’s where everything
starts. To a baby, the first image of a female is a mother, and a male is a
father. Excessive caring of women during pregnancy creates an impact on the
fetus that females should be treated with great care. Carrying mothers are not supposed to
do work and they are tolerant of the pain. They cry often. Grumbling and worrying starts because of hormonal change. As the fetus gets the feelings of mother, it will be aware of the female over protection. The
connection of fetus to father is very less when compared to the mother. So, it
defines its character by comparing it to the mother.
After the baby comes out, if it is female, it
follows a conventional pattern of possessing the characteristic of a mother such as nurture, tenderness, tolerant etc. If
the fetus is male, it gets puzzled. Either it believes that women should be
overprotected (portrayed as weaker sex) like his mother and they can tolerate
any amount of pain like his mother. This is an inbuilt thought that impacts
during the developmental process of the infants. Anyway, the roots only help to
cling through the ground, but the atmosphere changes the nature of the plant.
What can be done to change this?
In order to change the
roots, women should not be overprotected. The power of women should be spoken
out loud by the family. Encouragement to pursue her passion by not affecting
her health should be considered. Most of the pregnant working women tend to
be at home and take rest, not because of health reasons. It is because of the
over protection of society. In the world of increasing infertility rate, the
words above might sound as non-logical. But rather than giving birth to a
discriminating baby, it's better to be infertile.
Once again, I am
reminding you. I am a feminist who wants to prove that both gender are different by nature, but seeking equal
respect and acknowledgment for both sexes.
I just want to weaken
the roots of the banyan tree!
I agree with whole but what I thought if I’m comparing with something they we are keeping some standards. So instead of comparing equality I will say both are different in their own way. As our Hindu cultural lord siva has ardh narishwar ( half women) figure to show equality or you can they side of coin. Without two side it can not be complete.so we need to accept and respect both.
